LUXURY GOODS · ART · ANTIQUES

A dedicated luxury courier service with fewer handovers

For luxury goods, artwork, antiques and other valuable consignments, the journey matters as much as the deadline. Cranleigh Couriers provides dedicated point-to-point transport for boutiques, galleries, auction houses, collectors, businesses and private clients, with no parcel-hub sorting and no co-loading between customers.

Whether the item is valuable because of its price, provenance, rarity or personal importance, keeping the route simple reduces unnecessary handling. We focus on direct transport, clear collection instructions and a confirmed handover at the destination.

COMMON QUESTIONS

High-value, art & antiques courier FAQs

Practical answers about luxury goods, antiques, artwork, packing, dedicated transport and proof of delivery.

Ask about a valuable item
What is a luxury courier service?

A luxury courier service provides dedicated transport for valuable, fragile or premium goods where direct handling and clear accountability are important. We collect the consignment and transport it directly to the destination without parcel-hub sorting or co-loading with another customer’s goods.

Can you deliver high-value goods the same day?

Yes, subject to availability and the item being suitable for our service. Send the collection and delivery postcodes, item details, dimensions, weight, declared value and required timing and we will confirm a realistic collection plan.

Do you provide an antique courier service?

Yes. We can transport suitable antiques, collectables, furniture and decorative pieces using a van matched to the size of the item. Please tell us about fragile surfaces, glass, awkward dimensions, loading access and whether help is available at either end.

Can you transport artwork and framed pieces?

Yes, where the artwork is properly protected and suitable for road courier transport. We can carry framed works and other suitable art consignments as a dedicated movement. Specialist museum-grade packing, crating, installation or climate-controlled fine-art logistics are separate services that we do not provide.

Can you collect from galleries, auction houses and boutiques?

Yes. We can collect from galleries, auction houses, boutiques, retailers, warehouses, businesses and private addresses, provided the item is ready and the collection instructions, reference and access details are supplied.

Will my item be transported with another customer’s goods?

No. The consignment is handled as a dedicated movement from collection to delivery and is not co-loaded with another customer’s goods.

Do you provide packing or crating for art and antiques?

We provide courier transport rather than specialist art packing or crating. Items should be suitably packed or protected before collection. We can discuss practical in-vehicle protection such as blankets and securing where appropriate, but specialist packing should be arranged separately.

Do you provide luxury courier services in London?

Yes. We arrange suitable high-value and luxury courier movements across London, subject to availability, as well as direct deliveries between London, Surrey and destinations throughout mainland UK.

Can you deliver art, antiques and luxury goods nationwide?

Yes. We provide direct courier transport throughout mainland UK, and the collection does not need to begin in Surrey. Suitability depends on the item, dimensions, loading requirements and any specialist handling needs.

Do you provide proof of delivery for high-value consignments?

Yes. We confirm completion and provide proof of delivery. If you need a named recipient, signature, reference or particular handover instruction recorded, tell us when arranging the booking so we can confirm the requirement.

What counts as additional loading/unloading assistance?

Normal help with a straightforward collection or delivery is included. The additional assistance charge applies when the driver is required to do materially more than would reasonably be expected for a simple collection or delivery — for example repeated trips with multiple items, substantial hand-loading or unloading, stairs, carrying goods a significant distance, pallet breakdown, stacking or positioning.

If you're unsure, leave it unticked and tell us about the goods when requesting the quote.

Which vehicle size do I need?

The sizes below are a guide to the approximate usable cargo space. Manufacturer names for wheelbase and body length vary, so use the load length and examples as a practical comparison.

Similar in size to a VW Caddy, Citroën Berlingo or similar.

Typically suited to parcels, boxes and small equipment.

MWB

Typically suited to larger consignments, furniture, pallets and longer items.

LWB

Approx. 4.0 m internal load length

Similar in size to a long-wheelbase Transit, Sprinter, Relay or similar.

Typically suited to long or bulky items, larger loads and multiple pallets.

XLWB

4.0 m+ internal load length

Similar in size to an extra-long Sprinter, Relay, Renault Master or similar.

Typically suited to very long or high-volume consignments.

Luton

Large load area

Usually supplied with a tail lift. Box body or curtain-sided vehicles can be provided on request.
