PALLETS · CRATES · BULKY GOODS

Dedicated same-day pallet delivery without a pallet-network detour

Cranleigh Couriers provides direct pallet delivery for businesses that need a single pallet, several pallets, crates or bulky goods moved without routing the consignment through a pallet network. We match the most suitable van to the pallet dimensions, weight, quantity and loading requirements — from a Small Van where the load fits safely, through SWB, MWB, LWB and XLWB to a Luton when required — and move it directly from collection to the agreed destination.

This is a dedicated van service rather than pallet-network groupage. The load is booked around your collection and delivery requirement, with the vehicle capacity and loading method agreed before collection.

Van-based pallet service: loads must fit safely within the selected van, which can range from Small Van through SWB, MWB, LWB and XLWB to Luton depending on pallet dimensions, weight and quantity. We do not provide articulated HGV, rigid-lorry, HIAB or pallet-network groupage services. Extremely heavy, oversized or specialist regulated loads may require a different freight operator.

LOADING & ACCESS

Get the loading plan right before the van arrives

Pallet jobs depend on more than the route. The pallet footprint, height, weight, loading equipment and vehicle access all affect which van is suitable. Confirming those details at quote stage helps avoid delays at collection or delivery.

  • Forklift loading or unloading where available
  • Tail-lift requirements confirmed before booking
  • Pallet footprint, height and weight checked in advance
  • Warehouse, loading-bay and site access instructions

COMMON QUESTIONS

Pallet courier & pallet delivery FAQs

Practical answers about single pallets, multiple pallets, forklifts, tail-lifts, kerbside delivery and nationwide transport.

Ask about a pallet delivery
What is a pallet courier service?

A pallet courier provides direct transport for palletised goods, crates and larger business consignments. Cranleigh Couriers uses suitable vans for dedicated pallet movements, taking the load from collection to the agreed destination without routing it through a pallet-network sorting hub.

Can you deliver a pallet the same day?

Yes, subject to availability, pallet size, weight and loading requirements. Send the collection and delivery postcodes, pallet dimensions, weight and required timing and we will confirm a realistic same-day collection plan.

Can you transport a single pallet?

Yes. A single urgent pallet is often well suited to a dedicated courier movement because the vehicle can collect it directly and travel straight to the destination rather than waiting for a scheduled pallet network.

Can you carry multiple pallets?

Yes, where the combined dimensions and weight fit safely within the selected van. Depending on pallet size, weight and quantity, that can range from a Small Van through SWB, MWB, LWB and XLWB to a Luton. Tell us the number of pallets, footprint, height and weight of each pallet so we can confirm the correct vehicle before booking.

Do I need a forklift for pallet collection and delivery?

Not always, but the loading method must be agreed before the job. Heavy pallets commonly need forklift access at collection and delivery. Where a suitable Luton with tail-lift is required, tell us in advance so we can confirm availability, pallet weight, access and unloading conditions.

Can you provide a tail-lift for pallet delivery?

A tail-lift Luton can be specified where required, subject to availability and the pallet being suitable for the vehicle, tail-lift capacity and delivery access. Please tell us the pallet weight and whether a pallet truck can be used at both ends when requesting the quote.

Do you provide pallet courier services in London?

Yes. We arrange suitable pallet courier movements across London, Surrey and the South East, as well as direct deliveries between London and destinations throughout mainland UK. Vehicle access, loading restrictions and any local charges are considered when quoting.

Do you deliver palletised goods nationwide?

Yes. We provide dedicated pallet delivery throughout mainland UK, and the collection does not need to begin in Surrey. The consignment can be collected from one region and driven directly to a business, warehouse, site or other agreed destination elsewhere in the country.

What does kerbside pallet delivery mean, and is your service kerbside only?

In pallet networks, kerbside delivery usually means the pallet is left at a safe accessible point near the vehicle rather than moved inside a building. Our dedicated service is arranged around the agreed loading and unloading plan, but access and handling equipment must still be confirmed before booking and the driver is not a specialist warehouse handling crew.

What information do you need for a pallet delivery quote?

Send the collection and delivery postcodes, number of pallets, pallet footprint, height, weight, contents, whether the load can be stacked, required timing, and whether forklift or tail-lift loading is needed. Site access or loading-bay restrictions should also be included.

What counts as additional loading/unloading assistance?

Normal help with a straightforward collection or delivery is included. The additional assistance charge applies when the driver is required to do materially more than would reasonably be expected for a simple collection or delivery — for example repeated trips with multiple items, substantial hand-loading or unloading, stairs, carrying goods a significant distance, pallet breakdown, stacking or positioning.

If you're unsure, leave it unticked and tell us about the goods when requesting the quote.

Which vehicle size do I need?

The sizes below are a guide to the approximate usable cargo space. Manufacturer names for wheelbase and body length vary, so use the load length and examples as a practical comparison.

Small Van

Compact load space

Similar in size to a VW Caddy, Citroën Berlingo or similar.

Typically suited to parcels, boxes and small equipment.

SWB

Approx. 2.4 m internal load length

Similar in size to a Ford Transit Custom, Vauxhall Vivaro or similar.

Typically suited to multiple boxes, smaller furniture and equipment.

MWB

Approx. 3.0 m internal load length

Similar in size to a shorter Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit or Citroën Relay-type van.

Typically suited to larger consignments, furniture, pallets and longer items.

LWB

Approx. 4.0 m internal load length

Similar in size to a long-wheelbase Transit, Sprinter, Relay or similar.

Typically suited to long or bulky items, larger loads and multiple pallets.

XLWB

4.0 m+ internal load length

Similar in size to an extra-long Sprinter, Relay, Renault Master or similar.

Typically suited to very long or high-volume consignments.

Luton

Large load area

Usually supplied with a tail lift. Box body or curtain-sided vehicles can be provided on request.

Typically suited to furniture, bulky goods and higher-volume loads.

Vehicle examples are for guidance only. Exact internal dimensions and payloads vary between vehicles. If your goods are close to the stated size, include their dimensions and weight when requesting your quote and we'll confirm the most suitable vehicle.
